Newport News, VA – Broker/Owner, Al Abbitt, and Director of Operations, Brooke Scutt, of RE/MAX Peninsula accepted the "2017 Brokerage of the Year" for the RE/MAX Central Atlantic Region on behalf of the company. The region includes over 200 RE/MAX companies in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia and Washington D.C.. This prestigious RE/MAX award recognizes one outstanding Brokerage in each Region that demonstrates extraordinary commitment and loyalty to fellow RE/MAX Associates, employees and clients.

Abbitt opened RE/MAX Peninsula in 1992 and has since grown the brokerage to over 70 Associates who specialize in residential real estate brokerage and property management. In 2008, Abbitt opened an office in Williamsburg and in 2013 opened a third office in Gloucester, VA.

In addition to this year’s Brokerage of the Year Award, Abbitt received this award in 2010.
